Viking Power Idun’s Blessing is a premium-grade supplement. It features an advanced composition of seven powerful ingredients that work in synergy to deliver something entirely unique to the market. The main ingredients include taurine, L-ergothioneine, and the cutting-edge nicotinamide riboside chloride – a precursor to NAD+. The formula is also enhanced with the flavonoid quercetin, the polyphenol trans-resveratrol, and coenzyme Q10, also known as ubiquinone. To ensure optimal absorption in the body, each serving contains 35 mg of AstraGin® – a patented blend of Panax notoginseng and Astragalus membranaceus, which has antioxidant properties and promotes healthy aging.
Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride (NAD+)
One of the key ingredients in Idun’s Blessing is nicotinamide riboside chloride, often abbreviated as NR and branded as Niagen. NR is an alternative form of vitamin B3 (niacin) and acts as a precursor to the coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). NAD is an essential molecule with a central role in the body’s energy production and is necessary for optimal mitochondrial function. Although the body can naturally produce NAD+ by consuming foods rich in the amino acid tryptophan and the B vitamin niacin, the amounts are usually limited. Additionally, the body’s ability to produce NAD+ decreases as we age. To truly boost NAD+ levels in the body, supplements are necessary. Each dose of Idun’s Blessing contains 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside chloride, which is effectively converted into NAD+ and directly increases the levels of this essential molecule.
L-Ergothioneine
Ergothioneine is a rare amino acid found only in certain foods and in very small amounts, except for certain mushrooms. Based on today’s dietary habits and the fact that the body cannot produce this amino acid itself, it is estimated that daily intake is very limited. In the body, ergothioneine is primarily found in the mitochondria inside our cells, where it acts as a vital antioxidant, helping the body neutralize free radicals. Several studies have shown that this amino acid possesses such powerful antioxidant properties that it is now considered a “longevity vitamin.” With Idun’s Blessing, you get 10 mg of L-ergothioneine in its purest form.
